This policy is designed to clearly outline the rules regarding refunds and cancellations for our script-killing (LARP) services, membership systems, and related merchandise. This policy is formulated in accordance with the Malaysian Consumer Protection Act 1999, integrated with industry standards and reasonable commercial practices.
By completing a payment, you are deemed to have fully read, understood, and agreed to all contents of this policy.
I. Nature of Services and Goods
Super Detective Studio provides business services including, but not limited to:
- Script-killing / Immersive mystery reasoning experience services.
- Membership systems (including top-up, multi-session passes, and tiered benefit memberships).
- Physical or virtual goods (e.g., membership cards, peripheral merchandise, props, experience vouchers, etc.).
- Promotions, trial prices, and limited time offers.
All aforementioned items are considered pre-allocated resources or goods and services with immediate usage attributes.
II. General Refund Principles (Final Sale Principle)
In principle, all transactions are considered a Final Sale.
- Except as expressly listed in this policy:
- This principle applies to:
- Single-session bookings.
- Packages or private venue bookings.
- Membership top-ups.
- Merchandise purchases.

Membership Merchandise Statement
Membership-related goods, products, and vouchers are non-refundable once sold. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Physical membership cards
- Membership gift packs
- Peripheral merchandise
- Activated or usable experience vouchers
IV. Membership Refund and Usage Policy
Under special circumstances permitted by law and recognized by the Studio, if a refund process is required, Super Detective Studio will adhere to the following principles:
- No cash refunds; only equivalent Store Credit or Vouchers will be provided:
- Refunds will be issued in the form of equivalent Store Credit / Vouchers.
- Store Credit / Vouchers:
- Circumstances eligible for Store Credit or Voucher include, but are not limited to:
- Session cancellations caused by the Studio.
- Force majeure factors (e.g., government bans, public health emergencies).
- Special individual cases approved at the Studio’s discretion
V. Explicit Non-Refundable Circumstances
The following situations do not constitute grounds for a refund or compensation:
- Member's personal decision to discontinue use.
- Scheduling conflicts for players or members.
- Subjective dissatisfaction with the experience.
- Failure to use membership benefits within the validity period.
- Purchased merchandise, peripherals, or gift packs.
VI. Promotions and Special Offers
- All promotional prices, trial prices, and special offer activities default to no refunds and no cash returns.
- If an activity page explicitly states a specific handling method (e.g., compensation via Store Credit or Voucher), the description on that specific activity page shall prevail.
VII. Consumer Responsibility and Affirmation
Before making a payment, consumers and members should:
- Carefully confirm the purchased service, membership type, and amount.
- Understand the nature of memberships and top-up.
- Clearly understand the rule: “Goods sold are non-refundable / Balances are non-redeemable for cash and are for in-studio consumption only.”
Completion of payment indicates the consumer’s voluntary acceptance of the above arrangements.
VIII. Right of Final Interpretation and Dispute Resolution
Within the scope permitted by law, Super Detective Studio reserves the right of final interpretation regarding this refund, membership, store credit or voucher policy. In the event of a dispute, both parties shall prioritize a negotiated settlement; if negotiations fail, the matter shall be submitted to the competent authorities in accordance with relevant Malaysian laws.
